Earn from what you know.
Turn years of practice into a hands-on course for African creatives. We help you shape it, publish it, and bring it to learners ready to do the work.
Applications are open to practising creatives and professionals.
Your knowledge can travel further than you can.
Teaching here pairs earning with legacy. You earn from each sale, pass on what practice taught you, and build with a team behind you.

Earn from your course
You keep 70% of every completed course sale. Journeying Storyteller keeps 30% for hosting, course support, marketing, and running the Academy.
Pass the work forward
Teach the decisions, methods, and lessons that took years of practice to learn.
Build with support
You bring the expertise. We help you shape the lessons, build the course, and prepare it for learners.
You do not have to sell it alone
We market your course through the Academy and Journeying Storyteller's channels, so finding learners is work we share.
You have done the work. You understand the story inside it.
Storytelling depth and years of practice come first. Everything else, we can build together.

Apply if you:
- See yourself as a storyteller within your craft, and understand how story shapes what the work means and how people receive it.
- Have practised your craft for years, long enough to pass useful knowledge on.
- Can explain the thinking behind your choices, not only the steps you take.
- Want learners to make, practise, and improve.
- Treat other people's work and stories with care.
You do not need a large following or previous online-teaching experience. You need depth, practice, and something honest to pass on.
Teach your craft through the story inside it.
Your course does not need to be a general introduction to the whole field. It can teach one valuable part of the work deeply. Every course, whatever the path, must help the learner understand the story the craft is carrying.
We are accepting course ideas across:
- Film and video
- Photography
- Writing and copywriting
- Marketing and sales
- Social media
- UI/UX design
- Data analysis
- Art and craft

Bring the knowledge. We will help you build the course.
A short, supported path from idea to income. You bring the craft. We walk with you through building, publishing, and marketing.

What could you teach from experience?
Tell us about your work and the course you want to make. You do not need a finished syllabus before you apply.

The practical questions.
The short answers live here. The full detail sits in the instructor agreement, not on this page.

Do I need teaching experience?
No. You need strong experience in your craft and a willingness to teach it clearly. We will help you shape the course.
How do instructors earn?
You keep 70% of every completed course sale. Journeying Storyteller keeps 30%. Cleared earnings are paid monthly once your balance reaches ₦10,000. A balance below ₦10,000 carries forward to the next payout period.
Who decides the course price?
You propose the price. Journeying Storyteller reviews it against the Academy's published pricing range and approves the final amount with you.
What happens when a learner receives a refund?
The sale is reversed in the same proportions in which it was earned. Your 70% share and Journeying Storyteller's 30% share are both reversed. Cleared earnings are paid after the 7-day refund window.
Who owns the course?
You keep ownership of your knowledge and course materials. You give Journeying Storyteller a licence to host, market, and sell the JST Academy edition of the course under the instructor agreement.
Can I sell the course somewhere else?
Yes. The arrangement is non-exclusive. The JST Academy edition and its learner materials must be original to the Academy, but your underlying knowledge and teaching practice remain yours.
How long does the application process take?
We reply within 10 working days. If we would like to take the idea forward, we will invite you to talk through the course before a final decision is made.
Can two people teach one course?
Yes. A course can have an owner and collaborators.
