Terms of service

By registering for or using JST Academy you confirm that you can form a binding agreement with us and that you will follow these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. If you are under 18, you may only use JST Academy with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your activity and any payments made through your account.

You are responsible for the details you give us being accurate and kept up to date, and for everything that happens under your login. Keep your password private and do not share your account with anyone.

Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We are not responsible for losses caused by someone using your account where you failed to keep your credentials secure.

Paid courses show their price at checkout. Payments are processed by Paystack, our payment provider. Prices are in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise and may include applicable taxes. We do not store your full card details; those are handled by Paystack under their own terms.

All course purchases are final. Because courses are digital and access is granted immediately, we do not offer refunds once you have been given access to a course. This does not affect any rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived. If a course is materially not as described, or a fault on our side prevents you from accessing what you paid for, contact us and we will put it right by restoring access or, at our discretion, issuing a refund.

Instructors keep ownership of the courses and material they publish. By publishing on JST Academy, an instructor grants us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream, display, and distribute that material to learners through the platform, and to use course titles and descriptions to promote it.

Revenue share, payout amounts, and payout timing are set out in the separate instructor agreement that applies when you publish paid content. Payouts are made through our payment provider to the account you nominate, after any applicable fees and taxes.

Instructors confirm that they own or have the rights to everything they publish, that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law, and that it is accurate and safe to follow. Instructors agree to cover us for claims arising from material they published in breach of these commitments.

When using JST Academy you agree not to:

• share your login or let others use your account;
• copy, record, scrape, bulk download, or redistribute course material;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful, misleading, or infringing;
• harass, abuse, or impersonate instructors, staff, or other learners;
• attempt to break, probe, or bypass the platform’s security or access controls, or interfere with how it runs for others.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if you breach these terms, use the platform unlawfully, or create risk for other users, and we will give reasonable notice where we can, or act immediately where the breach is serious.

If we close your account for a serious breach, you may lose access to purchased courses without a refund. Outstanding instructor payouts already earned before termination remain payable, subject to the instructor agreement and any investigation into the breach.

We work to keep JST Academy available and course material accurate and useful, but we provide the platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis and do not guarantee particular results, uninterrupted access, or that every piece of content is free of error. Courses are educational and are not a substitute for professional advice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data, or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and where our liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid us for the course the claim relates to in the twelve months before the claim.
